Dear future students of Ms. Traverso

The best thing about Ms.Traverso it that shes great teacher, She is not strict, she likes to hear what students have to say, she likes to discuss it her students. But the hardest thing about Ms Traverso is sometimes she gives to much work and sometimes she just gives work that we just dont want to do like going to a cafe to present a poem, I really didnt want to do that and there was no other alternative to that assignment. One thing I will always remember about Mrs. Traverso class is how Nicko act so stupid and funny, other than that i just remember doing do nows and other things. You can tell Mrs. Traverso Is happy when she smiles and students actually do there work. If you want to suceed in Mrs Traversos class you need to come to class do your do nows and do everything else you need to do because the first semester I got an A and The second semester I did not so well. Overall I thought this class was good but at some point she gives a a huge amount of work, and sometimes the class gets boring especially on Wednesday when classes are 1 hour and a half for me. Well maybe its cause im a senior and this class is not required is why I really dont care about this class for my 2nd semester, Well I hope you future students of Mrs. Traverso learn to like Ms. Traverso

sincerly,

Racism

Posted in Uncategorized by xltx on May 20, 2009

After watching the video a class divided I am not surprised how the kdis would act. These kids were put in a discriminated class were brown eyes and blue eyes were discriminated. This video showed me that racism has a big effect on evryone even kids. this video showed me that kids minds are easyly manipulated. They way the teacher discrimated these kids showed peopl how racism was. I felt june elliots methods of teaching the kids about racism was genius. The teacher became racist as an example for a little bit. Just like that, most of the children that she addressed superior, became very racist. This also shows how easy it is to manipulate little kids’ minds on such matter. It shows, that if examples like that happens today, it’s not suprising that the same effect could happen to young people.I felt the kids know how it was like to be treated differently depending on how you look like. I feel this video was very interesting. I think kids today are easily brain washed and this is why today racism still lives

The video i just saw showed that kids today are stereotypic even at a very young age. I am not surpried by this since racist exist everywhere. There are many parents that are racist or sterotypic, since kids follow whatever their parents do, this is not a surprise. Kids today are easily exposed to racism and stereotypes. Kids can watch TV play games or even talk to others and can learn to not like certain races or think certain races do something other racist dont, like how everyone thinks black people are bad and white poeple are good.  Nowadays I feel being racist or stereotypic is nothing out of the ordinary, sometimes I feel these stereotypes are funny( im sorry it is just the way i feel)That reminds me even today comedians focus on stereotypes to be funny, if kids see this of course they will tihnk certain things. Almost everyones racist today, that is the way i feel ,even though you say your not racist or stereotpic, deep inside you are racist, I know for a fact a lot of asian parents are racist towards black people, this is because black people portry themselves dangerous towards everyone, you can call them racist but can you deny the fact the african americans get into the most crimes, kill the most people, sell the most drugs?? can you deny that??you think kids can deny this?? well this is why today kids today are racist, the enviroment makes theses kids turn out this way.
